Wave Electrical, Cheltenham – Logo Design
Pickle Studio’s Design Brief: Start-up company ‘Wave Electrical’ required a powerful, eye catching professionally designed logo design for their electrical engineering and installation business. They wanted the logo design to have a contemporary feel and to be used on leaflets, uniforms and on their vehicles.
Stage 1 - Research
Pickle Studio started the project by collecting visual reference of graphic designs, examples of typographic styles, colours and initial ideas. We call these ‘design springboards’, we discussed the boards with Simon (Wave Electrical’s Director) and decided on the directions in which we should take the logo designs.
Stage 2 - Design Concepts
Having decided on the directions we wanted to take the logo design, Pickle Studio produced 3 distinctly different design concepts. We demonstrated the logo designs applied to a business card and on a t-shirt to give Simon a feel for how the logo would look in use.
Stage 3 - Design Development & Digital Artwork
Pickle Studio developed Simon’s favourite design concept producing designs and digital artwork for stationery and supplying artwork of his new logo in various file formats. Once Simon’s business had become a little more established he asked us to then design postcard flyers, adverts and vehicle graphics. We helped Simon by liasing with suppliers and printers to ensure that our designs printed well and looked great.
