Simply Pets, Gloucester – Branding Design
Pickle Studio’s Design Brief: ‘Simply Pets’ aim is to provide high quality veterinary care services at a very affordable price. The majority of the animals that Simply Pets will treat are cats and dogs for common procedures including – Jabs, dental work and simple operations. Pickle Studio were asked to create strong branding for ‘Simply Pets’ establishing it as a bright, happy, contemporary, trusting and credible veterinary venue. Brands such as EasyJet, IAMS and Morrison Savers are examples of strong but simple, ‘no frills’ brands that ‘Simply Pets’ wanted to align to.
Stage 1 - Research
Pickle Studio started the project by collecting visual reference of graphic designs, examples of typographic styles, colours and initial ideas. We call these ‘design springboards’, we discussed the boards with Jackie and Paul and decided on the directions in which we should take the branding designs.
Stage 2 - Design Concept A
Having decided on the directions we wanted to take, Pickle Studio produced 3 distinctly different design concepts. We established key words that best described the personality of the brand, then captured and communicated these through our designs.

Stage 2 - Design Concept C
Having decided on the directions we wanted to take, Pickle Studio produced 3 distinctly different design concepts. We established key words that best described the personality of the brand, then captured and communicated these through our designs.
Stage 3 - Design Development & Digital Artwork
Pickle Studio developed Jackie & Paul’s preferred design concept producing designs and digital artwork for stationery, posters, signage, bags, marketing materials, uniforms, leaflets and adverts. We helped them by liasing with suppliers and printers to ensure that our designs printed well and looked great.
